— frequently asked questions —Q: What do you use to make your art?
A: i use the online drawing app Kleki.com to create my drawings (either on my HP Stream laptop or my iPad). i also use the mobile drawing app ibisPaint for when my electronics aren’t detecting any WiFi
Q: What programs do you use for animating?
A: since the start of 2017, I’ve used the mobile animation app FlipaClip, and from 2020-present, i switched to using the online free animation software Wick Editor
Q: What do you use to edit your videos?
A: since 2022, i have been using the video editing app Shotcut on my HP Stream laptop
Q: How did you learn to animate and draw?
A: it was pretty much a mix of things: as a 9-year-old in 2017 i watched a lot of animation memes that racked up millions of views because i was interested in them, and i also grew up watching a fuckton of different animated shows like Wibbly Pig, Gravity Falls, Little Bill (cough cough sex offender registry) and many more of them in the mid 2010s. so while i decided to use my mom's Gmail account to make a channel where i experimented with making animations using FlipaClip, it took me a while to improve my artstyle as well as most of the art i made was made on my own volition; there was no inspiration behind it, just made using my active imagination... tl;dr, i am self-taught
Q: What do you use to make music?
A: at the start of 2020 (when i was taking a huge break from making videos), i made my own songs using a Microsoft Store app called 'Music Maker Jam' under the stage name "themusicsocker" on SoundCloud. not that many people saw it except for random SoundCloud bots and, apparently, one of my teachers (my 5th grade teacher specifically, as i was in the 5th grade when i made "themusicsocker") found out about it. and then in 2021, i immediately moved to using Bandlab Studio under the name you know today: "CAWDJEL"
Q: Do you take art commissions?
A: it's explicitly stated in my DeviantArt page that i don't take requests; unless if they sound good, and if i'm able to do them using my motivation, i do not take commissions
Q: What does your workspace look like?
A: it's very fluid; 90% of the time i draw art using my iPad in my bedroom, sometimes i use my Ugee drawing tablet and HP Stream laptop to draw art/animate, and sometimes i use my laptop's mousepad to draw
Q: Why is your branding always the color orange?
A: because orange is my favorite color, and i thought it would be a cool thing to tie it to my branding. since i'm edgy and also a fun person as well i think adding orange to my logo gives it a lively and action-y vibe
Q: Are you black or white?
A: i'm Black (made obvious because of some of my live-action appearances on YouTube), but i do have a bit of Caucasian in my blood because i speak like a North American person but i also use African-American slang (e.g. the n-word (even though i don't even say it that much), "bruh", "y'all")
